NYR #1: Learn the Single Ladies dance

I've practised, I had a quick lesson from a professional actress and I almost collapsed after the 35th second.
I tried, but sadly I didn't manage to learn this dance in 2015. It's really a lot harder than it looks on the video!

NYR #2: Visit more galleries

Ok this one was a success! Especially at the beginning I got to go to a gallery every week, but I significantly lowered my gallery visits in the second part of the year, mostly because I got myself a studio where I loved working.

NYR #3: Respond to catcallers

I was a bit hesitant about this one. I love in London, where I get shamelessly catcalled on the street an average of 7 times per week. The worst is I realised it made me felt ashamed, when it wasn't my fault at all! So I decided, I'm going to start to reply back.
I had some sort of hope that that would maybe startle them, or make them feel embarrassed when approached. Some times it worked better than others. One guy tried to hurt me after I replied (I only said something like "Don't call me that"), but the worst were these teenage boys(!) which shouted (I have a pink fluffy phone case) "What else you have is pink an fluffy!"

NYR #4: Learn to do a headstand

This one has been on my to-do list for a while!
I've been into yoga for about three years now, and headstands have seemed as some of the most daunting things to achieve. I've tried headstand on a wall (and it felt amazing), but all no-wall headstands I've tried before have turned into major disasters (thankfully, without too much damage).
So, I'm proud to say that in 2015 I finally did it - I did a full, no-wall, proper headstand! How I did it? I'm not sure, but warming up, and putting the weight on my arms, instead of my head, seemed to made a big improvement.

NYR #5: Relax more

2015 was the year I graduated with my masters, found a job during the Degree Show week, and became fully financially sustainable, all in about a month. It seems like the first half was the preparation for this, the middle was when it all happened, and the second half was the aftermath. Or read: I worked my ass off.
Did I relax more? It's also the year I've travelled the most, with visiting all China, New York, San Francisco, Netherlands, Iceland, France, Vienna, Bulgaria, Barcelona, which I would like to think of as relax, but it was also a year where I was so stressed that my hair started falling off and my period was mortifyingly late.

NYC #6: Do more sport

Ok, I'll spoil the surprise and shout out immediately, as I'm so proud of it, that this was a success!
I joined a challenge at my gym for the hardest working out person. In January I went to the gym for every single day, even when I had to fly out in the middle of the day, even when I was super tired, even when I had no time and going to the gym meant less sleep. But I did it! I competed in the challenge and ended up on the third place in my gym with the top hardest working out people!

NYR #7: Sign a book deal

This was also the goal of my MA.
I came up with a book concept, collected the stories for it,came up with the illustrations, and... never pitched it to anyone.
I guess the book wasn't 100% clear for me at the first place, and even though it was probably my most-enthusiastic project so far (and hardest work!) it somehow didn't feel right just yet.
Publishing a book is still one of my dream life goals, but I guess this wasn't the right one. I did make it into a cool project and if you're more curious about it head over to allthetimesyoumadeit.com and who knows - hopefully one day this NYR will be turned into a success.

NYR #8: Go to a crazy travel adventure with my sister

Those who know me well know my sister is one of the most important people in my life (duh). Those who know me even better know that that wasn't this way long ago and we weren't even decent friends back then. It took me to let go of my mother-like protection instincts and learn that I had to be her friend on the first place, that really brought us together.
And now we're super close. We're the only two people that we know, that can spend long periods of time in extreme closeness, without wanting to kill each other. So we decided to go on an amazing adventure together!
We went camping for three days for the Bestival music festival in the UK. We spend three extreme days and nights, all the time together, dealing with drunkenness, annoying people, super cold nights, rain storm, boring food, (and lots of fun of course) and not once got annoyed at each other. Actually I can't remember ever laughing and smiling so much!
