Underwater
set design for projection mapping
In March 2018 Lightform, a San Francisco-based projection mapping company, tasked me to create a set design for their upcoming product launch.
The Work
The Process
After we had agreed on the concept (underwater world) I began by sketching, and then drawing the main elements from my scene.
They were then vectorized, printed on a large scale printer, attached to sturdy cardboard and then lasercut into the desired shape.
Voila! We have a scene.
I then used Lightform’s super intuitive tool to map out the scenery, and placed some of the effects onto my large-scale illustrations.
And the rest was up to this super fun crowd to liven up the scene.
